Meet the Directors

Our staff are committed to all students receiving a high-quality dance and cheer education. Students are challenged and encouraged in their growth as dancers, cheerleaders and young leaders. The staff focuses on providing students with positive performance opportunities and enjoying success as a byproduct from diligent practice and focused effort.

Dance / Drill

Alexis Bonilla Miller

Mrs. Alexis Bonilla Miller was born in San Antonio, Texas. She is a proud graduate of Reagan High School, class of 2012. She was on the Varsity Diamond Dancer Dance Team for 3 years and held an Executive officer position her junior and senior year, and served as Lt. Colonel her senior year. After high school she attended UTSA and was a part of the Pom Squad from 2012-2014. Mrs.Miller then transferred to Texas State University where she was a member of the world famous Texas State Strutters and was a Pom Squad Leader her senior year. Mrs. Miller graduated from Texas State with a Bachelors in Dance Education and a second teaching field in Communication Studies. While completing her last semester at Texas State, Mrs. Miller was a part of the San Antonio Spurs Silver Dancers in 2017-2018.

Mrs. Miller began her teaching career in Georgetown, Texas as a Director and Dance/PE teacher. For two years she had an elementary, middle school, and high school dance team, taught dance classes, and 1st and Kinder PE. She then moved back to San Antonio and was the Dance Team and Pep Squad Director at Brandeis High School while also teaching Speech. In 2021 Mrs. Miller had the honor of returning back home to Reagan High School. It is Mrs. Miller’s greatest privilege to be the Varsity Diamond Dancer and JV Silver Star Director.

Cheer & Mascot

Jordan Hays Redding

Mrs. Jordan Hays Redding is a 2014 Ronald Reagan High School graduate! She was on the cheer team all four years and served as the Varsity Captain her senior year. She was also a member of PALS, Track and Field and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Reagan is a special place to her entire family. Her mom was an administrator while she and her brother attended. She got to cheer for her brother on the sidelines at football, basketball, and baseball games.

Coach Redding is a Texas State University graduate. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Science and a second teaching field in History. She was a member of the all-girl cheer team her first three years and served as junior captain. During her senior year, she was a student assistant coach. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and worked for Universal Cheerleaders Association. She cheered at football, volleyball, and basketball games. She competed at UCA Nationals and College Worlds. Along with the sidelines and competitions, she served as an ambassador for the university at alumni and recruiting events. She is very grateful for every cheer program she has been a part of. From Allstars, to Reagan then Texas State, all of these programs played a part in her desire to coach cheerleading.

Coach Redding began her professional career at Brandeis High School in 2018. She coached the JV and Varsity squads, taught US and World History, and had the opportunity to work with the mascots and Pep Squad. She was honored to receive the First Year Educator of the Year award in 2019. Under her direction in 2020, Brandeis Cheer won the Intermediate Game Performance division at NCA Nationals. This routine is archived in NCA’s top 8 most spirited routines. In 2022, they won the Herkie Highpoint award at NCA State. They even got to cheer at three State tournaments.

In 2023 Coach Redding returned home to Reagan. She is thrilled to be the coach for Reagan Cheer and Mascot! Under her direction in 2024, Reagan Cheer placed 10th at UCA Nationals. In 2025 they placed 5th at UCA Nationals and brought home a state title for the Band Chant category at the UIL Spirit State Championships! Coach Redding loves coaching cheerleaders to their full potential. She always says, “Cheer requires great responsibility, but it has tremendous reward.”

Pep Squad

Brooke McGilloway-Shupe

Ms. Brooke McGilloway-Shupe was born and raised in San Antonio. She graduated from Clark High School where she was Co-Captain for two years of the Top Cat Dance Team. She received her Undergraduate Degree in Biology from Texas A & M University and also pursued her Certificate of Education in Composite Science and Dance.

Ms. McGilloway served as Director of the Churchill HS Pep Squad for four years from 2003-2007. She served as the head Dance & Drill Team Director of the State Champion Lancer Dancers and Grenadier Drill Team for 10 years and Fine Arts Department Head at Churchill High School from 2007-2017. She is a member of the Dance/Drill Team Directors of America and has had the opportunity to judge/consult for numerous dance programs within the San Antonio area. She was named as Cambridge Who’s Who among Executive and Professional Women in Teaching and Education. She also has been recognized as the GTM Outstanding Director by the American Dance/Drill Team School and is a PTA Life Membership award winner. She is currently serving as a dance staff member for Showmakers of America where she has had the opportunity to staff the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York and the Oahu Dance Nationals in Hawaii.

This will be Ms. McGilloway's 9th year at Reagan High School as the Pep Squad Director of the State Champion Charmers and Dance & Drill Assistant.
