Investing in Spirit, Leadership, and Excellence

“At the Reagan Spirit Club, we believe that spirit is more than just enthusiasm on game day—it’s about dedication, leadership, teamwork, and character. We are incredibly proud to offer the Reagan Spirit Club Scholarship to honor the incredible high school seniors who have poured their hearts into the Reagan Spirit Program.“
Our Commitment to Our Seniors
Our Spirit seniors have dedicated countless hours to represent Reagan High School with pride and energy. To demonstrate our appreciation and support for their future endeavors, the Reagan Spirit Club aims to fund scholarships for ten percent (10%, rounded up) of the graduating senior class within the Spirit Program each year. We are committed to celebrating our student-athletes’ hard work and helping ease their transition into higher education and future careers.
Scholarship Overview
This scholarship celebrates well-rounded student-athletes across the Pep, Cheer, Dance, and Mascot programs. Rather than evaluating students on performance alone, our holistic scoring process honors long-term commitment, community involvement, academic discipline, and peer leadership.
How Applications Are Evaluated (100-Point Scale)
A committee of external volunteer judges (not currently connected to the Spirit Program) evaluate the anonymized applicants across five (5) key categories to recognize those who embody the Reagan Spirit:
- Comprehensive Essay (24 Points): Applicants reflect on their personal growth, dedication, and how they have actively shaped a positive, inclusive team culture and left a lasting legacy for future students.
- Resume & Extracurriculars (20 Points): Honors well-rounded involvement in school activities, work, community service, and leadership roles alongside Spirit participation.
- Academics (20 Points): Rewards academic achievement based on cumulative weighted GPA.
- Teacher & Community Recommendations (24 Points Total):
- Teacher Recommendation (12 Points): Assesses constructive leadership, resilience, culture-building, and engagement in the classroom.
- Community Recommendation (12 Points): Evaluates accountability, composure, service mindset, and ambassadorship in the broader community.
- Spirit Program Tenure (12 Points): Recognizes continuous commitment and participation in the Spirit Program relative to years enrolled at Reagan High School.
